I am delighted to welcome this week on The Joy of Cruising Podcast, Roland and Emma, a couple I met by happenstance and who immediately became travel role models of mine! I was browsing Melanin At Sea, the influential 88,000-member Facebook affinity group created by friends of the show and global cruise personalities A Rich and Jazzy Life. Roland, a content creator, and professional DJ—he longs to DJ on a cruise ship in some capacity—posted about what sounded like a wonderful bucket list itinerary: a 28-day port-intensive cruise on Princess Cruises Enchanted Princess, one of the line’s newest and largest ships, bracketed by stays in two great cities, seven-days in Barcelona before embarkation, and five-days in Rome after debarkation. This sounded like a dream trip to me, and as I have done before, I wanted to talk to Roland and Emma on the podcast so that I and the listeners could experience their trip vicariously through them. So, I reached out to them, and am so glad they agreed to join The Joy of Cruising Podcast.
